Every listing that lands on Pairloom is touched by a single human inspector — not an algorithm. They receive the piece, run it through five physical inspection points, take the studio photography, and sign the verdict your buyer reads. No anonymous dropshippers, no opaque scoring.

The checklist
Every step below takes about ninety seconds per piece. The same reviewer signs all five lines on a single listing — the buyer sees one name, not a queue.
Stitches-per-inch counted with a loupe, panel-to-panel seam alignment measured against house reference. A single skipped stitch or off-centre sidewall is enough to send the piece back.
Touch, bend, and side-light the leather. Compare knit weave, mesh density, and dye saturation against the era-specific reference swatch we keep in the archive.
Every stamp, laser-etch, and emboss is read against a known master — aglet swaging, eyelet finish, hardware weight, closure sound. A mis-shaped rivet is caught here.
Internal batch numbers, font spacing, country-of-origin stamps, and size-tag period are cross-checked. Re-stamped or re-glued tags are read at the loupe.
Original receipt cross-checked against the seller’s stated history. Box, tissue, hangtags, and sneaker tags reconciled against what the listing claims to ship with.
